Jaxx lose third straight

Sevierville, TN (June 28th)- For the first time this season, the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx have a three game losing streak. This afternoon, the Diamond Jaxx lost their third straight game as the Tennessee Smokies defeated the Diamond Jaxx 6-2 before a crowd of 2899 fans at Smokies Park.

Matt Chico (2-2) pitched 6 2/3 solid innings to pick up the win for the Smokies. Chico allowed a run on four hits with two walks and three strikeouts. Bill White threw two shutout innings to nail down his first save of the season. Alberto Gonzalez and Jaime D'Antona had three hits each to pace the fourteen hit attack.

Sean Gallagher suffered his first loss in Double-A ball. Gallagher allowed three runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings of work. He walked three and struckout four. Chris Walker and Carlos Rojas had two hits each to highlight the Diamond Jaxx seven hit attack.

The Diamond Jaxx will try to snap a three game losing streak on Thursday night at Joe Davis Stadium when the Diamond Jaxx take on the Huntsville Stars. Game time is set for 7:05 CDT.
