MONTGOMERY, AL- The BayBears didn't have a hit until the seventh inning Wednesday in Montgomery, falling to the Biscuits 6-0. Tony Peguero (8-7) was the winning pitcher, tossing seven innings, striking out seven and walking three. Jose Oyervidez (2-7) took the loss, allowing four runs on seven hits. Stephen Smitherman and Brett Dowdy were the only BayBears who had a hit.

Montgomery scored once in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI double by Gabby Martinez. Montgomery would send nine batters to the plate in the sixth inning, scoring three times. Michael Coleman and Jason Pridie had RBI singles in the seventh inning to give the Biscuits the 6-0 lead. Dale Thayer pitched a scoreless inning in relief for the BayBears.

The BayBears return home to play Birmingham Thursday at 7:05. Sean Thompson (3-6) will pitch for the BayBears against Birmingham's Ryan Rodriguez (4-6). All BayBears games can be heard on 1480 AM WABB, Comcast Cable Channel 18, and on the internet via mobilebaybears.com.
