December 17, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Hartford Wolf Pack News Release
HARTFORD - Spectra, operators of the XL Center and the Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced that the Wolf Pack's Sunday, January 3 home game vs. the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be "Superhero Family Day", in support of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
The Wolf Pack will be collaborating with "Team Vermin", a Northeast-based "cosplayer" best known for her cosplays as Rocket Raccoon and Squirrel Girl, to bring over 30 superheros to the January 3 game, and fans are also encouraged to come to the game dressed as their favorite superhero.
Also, those in attendance on January 3 can celebrate the 35th anniversary of the iconic film "Back to the Future", as the world's foremost Marty McFly and Doc Brown impersonators will be appearing, along with the "time machine" DeLorean from the classic movie.
Special benefit tickets are available for the January 3 game for $15 each, and $5 from each benefit ticket sold will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, to help MJFF to continue aggressively funding research to find better treatments, and a cure, for Parkinson's Disease. To purchase the benefit tickets, click here.
Tickets for all 2015-16 Wolf Pack home games are on sale now at the Agera Energy Ticket Office at the XL Center, on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com and by phone at (877) 522-8499.
