Jets Recall Armia & Halischuk

The Winnipeg Jets, in conjunction with its AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, announced they have recalled forwards Joel Armia and Matt Halischuk from the Moose.

Armia, 22, had been recalled by the Jets on Nov. 23, but did not play any games with Winnipeg. Armia has played 18 games for the Manitoba Moose, recording eight points (3G, 5A) and 16 penalty minutes. Armia was acquired by the Jets last February in a multi-player trade with the Buffalo Sabres. Armia was originally drafted by the Sabres in the first round, 16th overall, at the 2011 NHL Draft.

Halischuk, 27, has played 24 games for the Manitoba Moose this season, recording six points (3G, 3A) and six penalty minutes. Halischuk spent the 2014-15 season with the Jets and had eight points (3G, 5A) in 47 games. Winnipeg claimed Halischuk off waivers prior to the 2013-14 season and has a total of 18 points (8G, 10A) in 93 career games with the Jets. He was originally drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the fourth round, 117th overall at the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
