
Jammers Cut Down by Willamsport 10-4

Jamestown, NY- The Jammers offense jumped out to an early lead for the sixth consecutive game on Saturday night. Danny Collins continued his to swing a hot bat as he provided instant power in the bottom of the first inning giving Jamestown a 3-0 on his fourth home run of the season.
Collins with his three RBI performance now has eight runs batted in his sixth professional game. Isaac Sanchez toed the mound for the second time this season looking to move to 2-0. Early on it seemed Sanchez didn't have quite the same repitore that he showed in his last start. Sanchez allowed one run in three innings of work as Zach Green hit a ball out of the park in the second inning for the second straight night.
Sanchez would take a no decision on the night as Jovani Lopez would surrender a grand slam to Angelo Mora in the top of the fourth inning with only one man out. The Jammers would try to battle back in the bottom half of the inning after falling behind 5-3, but would have no answer for 'Cutters starter Mitch Gueller.
Gueller, when the night was set and over would throw five innings allowing just three first inning runs on three hits and adding five strikeouts. The Jammers would try to plan their comeback in the bottom of the sixth inning after Williamsport tacked on two more runs to make it 7-3. Mike Fransoso hit a line drive to right field that would get down for a double while scoring Harold Ramirez from second base to make it a 7-4 ballgame.
The Crosscutters would add three more runs to the scoreboard in the eighth inning to stretch the lead to 10-4. Lino Martinez would come on to close out the game for Williamsport in the bottom of the ninth ining. The win moves the 'Cutters record to 2-4 on the season and Jammers move to 4-2 on the season and share the top spot in the division with State College.
The Jammers will hit the road Sunday to open up a three game series with the Spikes. The first pitch between the two teams is set for 6:05 p.m. with both games Monday and Tuesday kicking off at 7:05 p.m. The Jammers will return home to host the Batavia Muckdogs on Wednesday, June 26th at 7:05 p.m. Southwestern Area Sports teams are invited to come out to the ballpark and spend a night with the Jammers.
