BAKERSFIELD, CALIF., December 13, 2014 - The visiting Bakersfield Jam (7-5) defeated the Westchester Knicks (5-6) on Saturday night by a final score of 110-84.

After ending the opening quarter down 24-23, Bakersfield started the second period on an 8-0 run and led 31-24 at the 8:58 mark. The Jam managed to stretch their lead to as many as 15 points and went into the half with a 57-43 advantage.

The Knicks picked up their level of intensity in the third, but every time they seemed to catch momentum and go on a small run, Bakersfield would answer back with a run of their own. The final frame was controlled and dominated by the Jam, as they built their lead to 28 points at one point and ended up outscoring the Knicks 27-12 in the quarter.

Elijah Millsap (26 points, 12 rebounds, 3 steals) and Earl Barron (18 points, 11 rebounds) led the way for Bakersfield. Chris Wright tallied 14 points and Joe Jackson contributed 12 points off the bench. Mac Koshwal chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds.

Ben Strong paced the Knicks with a team-high 16 points. Langston Galloway and Darnell Jackson each scored 14 points. Thanasis Antetokounmpo registered a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.

The Jam will next return home for a match against the Idaho Stampede on Tuesday, December 16. Tip off is set at 7:00 p.m. PT at the Dignity Health Event Center.
