
Jacobsen Takes Durbin's Spot

OTTAWA - RHP Landon Jacobsen has been transferred to the Lynx roster from Double-A Reading today. RHP J.D. Durbin's contract was purchased by the Phillies last night, while C Tim Gradoville has been transferred from the Lynx roster to Double-A Reading.
Jacobsen gets the start for the Lynx tonight in Toledo, while Durbin takes the mound for Philadelphia this afternoon against the New York Mets.
Jacobsen, 28, is 6-5 with a 4.61 ERA in 16 starts with the R-Phils this season. He had 14 wins with Double-A Altoona in 2006, good for second in the Eastern League. He was also third in the EL in shutouts (1) and fifth in ERA (3.21). He has a 66-53 record in his eight Minor League seasons.
Durbin, 25, was 2-4 with a 4.55 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 10 starts for the Lynx this season. He started the season with Arizona, making one start, before being claimed off waivers by the Phillies and assigned to the Lynx May 4th. He has a career Minor League record of 47-26 in eight seasons.
Gradoville, 27, is hitting .273 in eight games with the Lynx. He also hit .181 with 1 RBI for Reading this season. He spent most of last season at Double-A Reading, hitting .261 with 1 HR and 13 RBI in 35 games and won Reading's Eugene L. Shirk Award for Community Service.
