Taylor Widener and the Jackson Generals pitching staff stymied the Chattanooga Lookouts offense in a 2-1 loss. Lookouts starting pitcher Tyler Wells pitched well in the defeat only allowing one earned run in six innings.

Tonight's game was scoreless through five innings before Jackson broke the tie in the sixth inning on a wild pitch by Wells. They added one more in the eighth on a Marty Herum RBI single.

Chattanooga scored their first run of the night in the ninth inning on a Mitchell Kranson RBI base hit, but they could not push any more runners across the plate.

Luis Arraez was a bright spot for the Lookouts. The infielder went 1-for-3 in the loss to extend his hitting streak to eight games. He now has hits in 14 of his last 15 games. Since July 28, Arraez has raised his batting average from .238 to .286.

Tomorrow, is MEGA Fireworks and Fan Appreciation Night at AT&T Field. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
