JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Miami Marlins announced a series of transactions that impact their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp roster prior to tonight's game against the Mississippi Braves at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville at 7:05 p.m.

Infielder Chris Diaz has been transferred from Jacksonville to Triple-A New Orleans. Diaz has played in 57 games for the Jumbo Shrimp, hitting .214 with no home runs and nine runs batted in. Diaz previously played for the Baby Cakes in 11 games, hitting .207 with no homers and three runs batted in.

In a corresponding move, infielder Luis Pintor has been transferred from Single-A Greensboro to Jacksonville. Pintor has spent the majority of the season with High-A Jupiter, in 40 games hitting .179 with no homers and 10 RBI. Earlier this season with the Jumbo Shrimp, Pintor was 1-for-21 in 10 games with an RBI.

Additionally, right-handed relief pitcher Reilly Hovis has been transferred from Jacksonville to High-A Jupiter. Hovis has pitched in 12 games for the Jumbo Shrimp was 0-2 with a 6.14 ERA in 22 innings of work. Earlier this season with the Hammerheads, Hovis was 2-1 with a 3.43 ERA in 16 relief outings.

In a corresponding move, left-handed relief pitcher Jeff Kinley has been transferred from Triple-A New Orleans to Jacksonville. Kinley pitched in 11 games for the Baby Cakes, going 1-1 with a 3.32 ERA in his 21 and two-thirds innings of work. Kinley started the season in Jacksonville's bullpen where he was a 2018 Southern League Midseason All-Star. With the Jumbo Shrimp, Kinley went 3-1 with a 2.43 ERA in 23 relief outings with two saves.

The Jumbo Shrimp roster stands at 25 active players, and a revised roster is attached.

The Jumbo Shrimp continue their series with Mississippi at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, when Jacksonville right-hander Nick Neidert (10-6) is scheduled to face Braves right-hander Enderson Franco (5-7). Gates open at 6 p.m. for Budweiser Thirsty Thursday, when fans can purchase $1 12-oz. and $2 24-oz. beers adjacent to the Budweiser Tiki Terrace, the right-field concourse, and the Oasis concession stand behind section 115. $1 small sodas are sold at the concession stands.
