Mobile BayBears News Release
MOBILE, Ala. - For the second straight game, the Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, grabbed an early lead but fell to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos 4-2 at Hank Aaron Stadium.
The BayBears (56-57 overall, 19-26 second half) jumped on the board first with a pair of runs in the bottom of the second. Jose Rojas and Zach Gibbons hit back-to-back doubles, and Gibbons scored later in the frame on a double play.
However, Pensacola (61-53, 31-15) scored the final four runs of the game. Gavin LaValley hit a game-tying two-run homer in the fifth, Shed Long scored a run off Zac Ryan (1-3) on a groundout in the seventh, and Mitch Nay hit an RBI single for an insurance run in the ninth. LaValley has driven in six runs in the first two games of the series.
Vladimir Gutierrez (9-9) earned the win for the Blue Wahoos in a quality start. He tossed five scoreless frames after allowing two runs in the second inning.

Right-handed pitcher Jose Rodriguez (7-9, 5.83 ERA) is scheduled to make the start against righty Tony Santillan (4-0, 1.78 ERA) for the Blue Wahoos.
