
Jackson Scores 49 in Win over Mad Ants

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Stampede beat the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 98-94 for their eighth consecutive win. The 8-0 start is the best in franchise history.
Pierre Jackson led the way once again for the Stampede as he shattered the Stampede's single-game scoring mark with 49 points. The record was previously held by Brian Green in the 2002-03 season with 46 points.
The Mad Ants got off to a quick start in the first quarter and grabbed a 29-19 lead by shooting 50 percent from the field. Idaho answered back in the second quarter and gained a 51-49 lead at the half.
The third quarter was tight until Jackson scored the final 12 points for Idaho as the Stampede looked in control heading into the fourth up 83-70. Fort Wayne guard Ron Howard brought his team within three points late in the fourth quarter. Jackson answered with a jumper of his own and ultimately sealed the game on the free throw line.
Jackson's 49 points is the highest single-game point total in the NBA Development League this season. The Stampede also received help from Richard Howell (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Dallas Lauderdale (12 points, 12 rebounds).
Fort Wayne was led by Ron Howard with 20 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Sadiel Rojas added 19 points and 12 rebounds. All five starters scored in double figures for the Mad Ants.
Fort Wayne (1-5) visits Delaware on Sunday, December 15 while Idaho (8-0) continues their road trip in Bakersfield on Wednesday, December 18.
NEXT HOME GAME- The Stampede will host the Texas Legends at CenturyLink Arena on Friday, December 27 at 7 pm.
