Jam Defeated in Reno

BAKERSFIELD - The Bakersfield Jam (3-7) fell to the Reno Bighorns (2-6) on Saturday night by a final score of 105-98.

James Nunnally paced the Jam in the first half, scoring 18 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field (2/3 3FGs). All tied at 52 heading into the break, both teams traded buckets back-and-forth in the third quarter to keep the game close. Bakersfield held a slight advantage (79-78) entering the final frame, but stumbled in the final 12 minutes as they got outscored by Reno 27-19.

Nunnally finished with a game-high 29 points and added seven rebounds, while Atlanta Hawks assignee Dennis Schr�=B6der scored 20 points. Damion James posted 14 points and nine rebounds. Ike Diogu tallied 12 points off the bench.

The Bighorns were led by Tajuan Porter who scored 19 points. Brandon Heath had 16 points, while Trent Lockett contributed 13 points and eight rebounds.

Both teams face each other again tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. PST in Reno.
