Bangor erupted for seven runs in the first two innings, as the Lumberjacks posted a 9-4 win over New Jersey in their new home, Winkin Field. The âJacks scored two in the first, before blowing the game open in the second on Shin Uchino's two-run homer and Ryan Sienko's three-run long ball for a 7-0 cushion. New Jersey closed the gap to 7-4 in the sixth, as Wady Almonte, who had two hits and was responsible for all of the Jackals' runs, drove in three with his first home run of the season.
Bangor answered with solo runs in the sixth and seventh for its third win of the season. Jose Garcia went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and Shin Uchino and Jake Whitesides had three hits apiece for Bangor. Matt Scheuing went 5.2 innings and allowed four runs on five hits to go to 2-0, while Juan Guzman took the loss.
