2005 Schedule Released

The Bangor Lumberjacks are pleased to announce the 2005 schedule. The Lumberjacks will be kicking off the 2005 season on May 26th at the Winkin Baseball Complex. The Lumberjacks will be playing a 92 game season (46 home 46 away games) against the Brockton Rox, North Shore Spirit, Elmira Pioneers, New Haven County Cutters, New Jersey Jackals, Quebec Capitals and Worcester. Lumberjacks Trade Uhl For Taylor

The Bangor Lumberjacks, proud members of the Canadian American League, announced today that they have acquired OF Lucas Taylor from the North Shore Spirit in exchange for the rights to RHP John Uhl.

Taylor, a speedy outfielder stole 17 bases in 20 attempts in 40 games for the Spirit. He hit an impressive .337 and had an on base percentage of .445. Taylor will be projected to be the starting CF for the Jacks when they open the season on May 25th.

"We're excited that we were able to acquire Lucas. His speed and defense will be a great asset for the team," stated Lumberjacks General Manager Curt Jacey.

Taylor, who is 24 years old, will begin his third season in professional baseball. The Keyser, WV native is a graduate from Shepard College (WV). Uhl pitched in nine games for the Jacks and complied a record of 0-0 with an ERA of 4.70.

Front Office Changes for 2005

The Bangor Lumberjacks announce the return of General Manager Curt Jacey. Jacey who is entering his third season with the team as the General Manager is eager to bring a championship to Bangor.

Jacey also promoted Ryan Conley to Assistant General Manager. Conley served as Sales Associate for the past two seasons.
