Jackals Sport Staches for Movember Movement

ELMIRA, N.Y. - November 12, 2014 - The Elmira Jackals, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and AHL's Rochester Americans, are growing out their mustaches for the month of November in support of men's health awareness.
Jackals defenseman Patch Alber is leading the charge for the team this year and has been active in developing a Movember program for the players to participate in.
"Our goal is not only to generate funds and donations, but to raise awareness for the men's health issues that males face every day," said Alber. "It is not common to find fundraisers for men's health awareness, but it is a topic that we feel is very important and needs attention in the community."
Alber and Jackals captain Matt Tassone created a video to explain their Movember program. Many of the team members are participating by growing out their mustaches and fans will have a chance to donate to their favorite player, or the one they think has the best mustache on the squad.
