Jackals Receive Two from B-Sens

Elmira Jackals News Release


The Elmira Jackals announced on Sunday that forward Andrew Sweetland has been returned to the club from his loan to their AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators, while forward Corey Cowick has been assigned to the club from the B-Sens.

Sweetland has 21 goals this season to lead the Jackals. The third-year pro from Bonavista, Newfoundland has also added seven assists for 28 points. Sweetland had been loaned by Elmira to Binghamton on Feb. 18.

Cowick, a rookie from Gloucester, Ontario, has 13 points (5g-8a) with the Jackals this season. He is scoreless in six games with Binghamton. Cowick was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the sixth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Cowick was recalled from Elmira on Feb. 9.

The Jackals take on the Reading Royals today at 5:05 p.m.
