IN JUST A FEW HOURS...

The Elmira Jackals play their first game at the Sovereign Center since the middle of December when they battle the Reading Royals at 5:05 p.m. to close out the weekend.

SOVEREIGN CENTER STRUGGLES

Since winning its first two games of the season in Reading's Sovereign Center, Elmira has struggled on the road against the Royals, going 0-2-1 and getting outscored by the Royals 14-3 in the three losses. Elmira entered the third period in Reading with a 2-0 lead on Nov. 21 but has been outscored by the Royals 14-1 since that point, as the Royals came back that day to beat the Jackals in overtime, 3-2, before notching December victories of 6-1 and 5-0 against Elmira.

POWER-PLAY STREAK ENDS

Elmira did not score on the power play for the first time in ten games, snapping a streak that saw the Jackals score on the man advantage in nine-straight contests. During that stretch, the Jackals were 29.7% on the power play before going 0/5 in last night's 3-2 loss against the Trenton Devils.
