Jackals, MDA Team up for Sixth Annual Spaghetti on Ice

The Elmira Jackals will lace up their skates to become waiters on Wednesday, Mar. 21 at 6:05 p.m. at First Arena as they team up with the Muscular Dystrophy Association for the Sixth Annual Spaghetti on Ice event. The news was announced at a First Arena press conference on Thursday.
The Jackals will serve as waiters for the event, bringing spaghetti meals to customers sitting at tables on the First Arena ice. Each player will accept tips, which will then be donated to the MDA. The players can be tipped for providing utensils, drinks, salad, spaghetti, and autographs.
All event attendees will take home a special 2012 Spaghetti on Ice puck. Jackals players will wear Spaghetti on Ice jerseys which will be auctioned off at the end of the event. All proceeds from the jersey auction will go to the MDA.
Individual tickets for the event cost $15 while a family four pack is $50. Proceeds from ticket sales go to the MDA. Tickets can be purchased at the First Arena Box Office, at the Holiday Inn-Riverview or Holiday Inn Express-Horseheads, or by calling the MDA at (607) 797-3463.
MDA helps children and adults who are affected by any of the 40 neuromuscular diseases covered by MDA's comprehensive medical services and research programs. MDA receives no government funding and charges no fees to those served by the association.
