IN JUST A FEW HOURS...
The Elmira Jackals welcome the Kalamazoo Wings to First Arena at 7:35 p.m. The Jackals began the week on Wednesday with a 4-2 victory over the Trenton Devils. Elmira currently is in seventh place in the Eastern Conference with 73 points.
HIGH-OCTANE GAME ON THE WAY'
Elmira and Kalamazoo enter the action tonight first and second in the league in goals scored per game. The Jackals have scored 239 goals, three more than the K-Wings. Last season, Elmira totaled 275 goals to lead the ECHL, two ahead of second-place Kalamazoo's 273 goals.
OVERCOMING EARLY ADVERSITY
The Jackals overcame yet another one-goal deficit to start the game on Wednesday night to earn a victory. Elmira has been scored on first in 11 of 15 games under Nichols but have gone 8-3 in those games. The Jackals are 14-19-0-1 when being scored on first after beginning the season 6-16-0-1 in that situation.
