
Jackals Acquire Forward Sebastien Sylvestre from Orlando

ELMIRA, NY- The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, announced today they have acquired forward Sebastien Sylvestre from the Orlando Solar Bears in exchange for the rights to Taylor Stefishen.
Sylvestre, 23, is in his third professional season, playing the previous two years in the ECHL. The Boucherville, Quebec native spent last season with the Missouri Mavericks, where he put up 38 points (19g, 19a) and had a +9 rating in 67 games. This season, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound forward participated in training camp with the AHL's Toronto Marlies, appearing in two preseason games against the St. John's IceCaps. In his pro career, Sylvestre has appeared in 136 ECHL games, adding 85 points (42g, 43a) with Missouri and the Bakersfield Condors.
Prior to turning pro, he spent parts of four years playing junior hockey in the QMJHL with Rimouski Oceanic and Chicoutimi Sagueneens from 2011 to 2014. Over the course of his 165-game QMJHL career, Sylvestre totaled 148 points (61g, 87a).
In a separate move, the Jackals have activated forward Charlie Mosey from reserve and placed forward Colin Murray on reserve.
