Odessa Jackalopes News Release
(Odessa, TX) - The Odessa Jackalopes won both of their games over the weekend to keep their win streak in tact at seven games with four contests coming this week.
Last Week's Record: 2-0-0
Season Record: 10-1-1
Friday vs. Rio Grande Valley, 5-2 Win
The Jackalopes scored three second period goals, two of them on the power play, en route to their second win of the season over the Killer Bees. Kenny Bernard scored the team's third shorthanded goal of the season.
Saturday vs. Amarillo, 5-2 Win
Juha Toivonen improved his goaltending record to 6-0-0 on the year with 28 saves. Odessa scored a power play goal for the 10th consecutive game with three of them on the night. Kenny Bernard was held scoreless bringing his goal-scoring streak to an end at eight games.

Tuesday vs. Amarillo, 7:05 PM
The Jacks look to pick up their third win of the season over the Gorillas. After starting the season 4-0-0, the Gorillas are 2-7-0 in their last nine games.
Thursday vs. Texas, 7:05 PM
It's the first meeting since game seven of the Southern Conference finals last season, when Texas won 8-1 to advance to the CHL Finals. The Brahmas went on the win the President's Cup in five games over Colorado.
Friday @ Laredo, 7:30 PM
It's the first meeting since game six of last season's Southern Conference Semifinals, when the Jacks eliminated the Bucks by a 4-3 final in overtime. Laredo is currently second in the Southern Conference this season at 7-2-2. Five points behind Odessa.
Saturday @ Rio Grande Valley, 7:35 PM
It's the third meeting of the season against the Bees, but the first at Dodge Arena. Last season the Jacks were 2-1-0 on the road against Rio Grande Valley.
The Odessa Jackalopes are the Central Hockey League affiliate for the NHL's New York Islanders and the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
