It's time to meet the Wizards

Fort Wayne, IN - The Fort Wayne Wizards Fifth Annual "Meet the Team" party will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7 at Memorial Stadium. Fans of all ages and members of the media are invited to join the Fort Wayne staff to welcome the 2004 Wizards players and coaches. Admission is free to the event. People heading to the Fort Wayne Komets home finale are encouraged to stop by the Wizards party before heading to Memorial Coliseum.

The 2004 Wizards players and coaches will be available for autographs, photographs and interviews. Fans can also run the bases during the event and kids can play in the playground or participate in games in the Fun Zone.

In addition, 2004 ticket packages and individual game tickets will be available for purchase, and newly designed Wizards and San Diego Padres souvenirs will be available in Wizards ware.

Fort Wayne opens the 2004 season on the road against the South Bend Silverhawks on April 8 at 6:30 p.m. The Wizards begin the home portion of the season hosting the Beloit Snappers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16.

Highlighting the 12-year anniversary in Fort Wayne for the Wizards will be 12 post-game fireworks shows, appearances by Myron Noodleman, the Zooperstars, BirdZerk and Jake, the Diamond Dog. "Big Daddy Weave" is scheduled to play in a post-game Christian Concert following the Wizards game against the Lansing Lugnuts on Sunday, August 8. The Wizards will host the fifth annual Boy Scout Overnight on Saturday, June 5 and the Girl Scout Overnight on Saturday, June 19.
