Isotopes start Spring Training

The Albuquerque Isotopes announced today their 2005 Spring Training schedule, which consists of 14 games against other Triple-A teams. Twelve of the 14 games will be played in Jupiter, FL., the shared spring home of the Florida Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Albuquerque opens its third Spring Training on Thursday, March 17 in Jupiter against the Memphis Redbirds. The schedule also includes Las Vegas (Dodgers) of the Pacific Coast League, along with the International League's Norfolk Tides. The Isotopes' regular season home opener is April 7 against the Iowa Cubs.

Isotopes pitchers and catchers are due to report to Jupiter today, followed by position players on Thursday. The complete Spring Training schedule is as follows:

Major League Weekend Tickets, Season Tickets and Mini Plans are now on sale. Isotopes Park will be open to the public this Saturday from 10 am – 1 pm as the Triple-A club hosts its' third annual Open House. Individual game tickets for the Isotopes' third season go on sale at the stadium box office, as well as at all Ticketmaster outlets, on Saturday at 10 am.
