Isotopes Set Record With 600,000 Attendance Mark

With a crowd of 8,939 on hand to see their final regular season game, the Albuquerque Isotopes shattered their single-season attendance mark, welcoming 602,129 fans to The Lab in 2009.

By reaching the 600,000 plateau, the Isotopes not only have surpassed their previous record of 593,606 set a year ago, but have also joined a select club. Currently only two teams in all of Minor League Baseball have drawn more than 600,000 fans this season. Over 72 total openings, the 'Topes have averaged a franchise-high 8,363 fans per contest, marking the seventh straight year the Isotopes have averaged more than 8,000 a game.

This season, the 'Topes have drawn more than 10,000 fans a record 15 separate times, including a record throng of 15,358 that came to see the Isotopes on July 3.

The Isotopes will finish off the 2009 regular season with four games in Iowa before returning home to kick off the 2009 PCL Playoffs at Isotopes Park on Wednesday, September 9.
