Isotopes Park to Provide Sensory Bags at All 2019 Home Games
April 5, 2019 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Albuquerque Isotopes News Release
The Albuquerque Isotopes are proud to collaborate with the New Mexico Autism Society and Summit Electric Supply in providing sensory bags for our sensory sensitive community. These bags will help individuals come to a game and enjoy themselves with accommodations.
The sensory bags will be located at Guest Services on the Isotopes Park concourse. Those in need of the bags will be able to check them out for the game and return upon exiting the ballpark.
Each bag will have headphones in either adult or child size, to help block out crowd noise, sunglasses to help with lighting, gloves to help with tactile sensations, and fidgets to help focus on the game and less on the crowd around.
"We are honored to partner with the New Mexico Autism Society and Summit Electric Supply to have these bags available to our fans," said Isotopes General Manager John Traub. "We are proud to make Isotopes Park even more accessible and help provide the most comfortable environment possible for all in our community."
New Mexico Autism Society is proud to partner and collaborate with the Albuquerque Isotopes and Summit Electric Supply in providing sensory bags for our sensory sensitive community, said Christina Angel-Jolly, Executive Director of the New Mexico AutismSociety. "We would like to thank the Albuquerque Isotopes for committing to the conversation of inclusion. We're excited to see what else we can accomplish together."
