Islanders Recall Ullstrom from Sound Tigers

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (April 18, 2013) - The New York Islanders have announced they have recalled forward David Ullstrom from loan from the Sound Tigers.

Ullstrom recorded three goals and three assists in six games during his most recent stint with the Sound Tigers. The Jonkoping, SWE native shows 26 points (nine goals, 17 assists) in 31 games with the Sound Tigers this season, and returns to the Islanders where he has posted two goals and three assists in 20 games this season.

Originally the Islanders' fourth round pick (102nd overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Ullstrom has amassed 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 48 games with the Islanders over the past two seasons.

The Sound Tigers return to action this Friday in Portland against the Pirates before returning to Webster Bank Arena this weekend to close out their regular-season slate on Saturday against Providence at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday against Portland at 3:00 p.m. For tickets, call the Sound Tigers at (203) 334-GOAL or visit soundtigers.com.
