IronPigs Try to Take Series from Bisons

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will try to take the series from the Buffalo Bisons on Monday night at Coca-Cola Field. First pitch of the series finale is slated for 7:05 p.m.

RHP Nick Pivetta (0-1, 2.40) will be on the bump for the IronPigs on Monday night. Pivetta was tagged with the loss on Wednesday at Pawtucket when he gave up two runs on four hits while walking one and fanning six in four innings of work. The right-hander has fanned 20 batters over 15.0 IP in three starts with Lehigh Valley.

RHP Casey Lawrence (4-5, 3.95) gets the ball for the Bisons in the series finale. Lawrence was dealt the loss on Wednesday at Gwinnett after allowing five runs on six hits to go along with a pair of walks and five strikeouts in 6.1 IP. In two starts against the Pigs this year, the Albright College product is 1-0 with a 3.08 ERA.

With a multi-hit game on Sunday, Pigs 1B Brock Stassi is now hitting .333-4-13 (20-60, 3 2B, 10 BB, 11 R) in his last 19 contests. This story was not subject to the approval of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues or its clubs.
