Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
The IronPigs scored three runs in the seventh inning, erasing a 4-3 deficit, winning 6-4 on Independence Day. Losing pitcher Adam Mills (2-7) allowed 5 runs in 6 innings of work. Mills surrendered 9 hits. Domonic Brown, the Phillies top prospect, knocked in the first 4 Lehigh runs. Brown had a scarifice fly, a two run homer and a grounder that scored a run.
Ryan Kalish went 3-4, getting multiple hits in a game for the fifth straight night. The other 4 Pawtucket hits belonged to Lars Anderson, Tug Hulett, Juan Apodaca and Gil Velazquez.
The PawSox record on the road falls to 13-28 for the season. Game two of the four game series is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on Monday night. Drew Carpenter (6-6, 3.47) will face TBA for Pawtucket.
