Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (32-51) return home after one contest at McCoy Stadium to play Game One of a four-game series against the fourth-place Pawtucket Red Sox (38-44) -- Boston's top affiliate. With an 8-0 loss last night, the 'Pigs were shutout* for the fourth time this season. The Pigs have now lost three in a row and are just 2-10 in their last 12... Pawtucket has won back-to-back games and is now 4-1 in its last five affairs. Even so, the Sox have gone just 14-17 since June 1... In addition, PAW has the worst road record in the IL (13-27, .324) -- percentage points worse than LHV (14-28, .333).
LHP J.A. Happ (0-0, 4.50; ML Rehab) will make his second ML rehab start for LHV against RHP Adam Mills (2-6, 4.01).
First-Pitch tonight is at 7:05 p.m. for Independence Day 3-D Fireworks Extravaganza, presented by AT&T.
