Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (35-27) play Game Two of a four-game series against the fifth-place Syracuse Chiefs (31-32) at Alliance Bank Stadium... With a 3-2 walk-off loss last night, the Pigs snapped their four-game winning streak and their five-game winning streak over the Chiefs in 2012 (seven-gamer going back to 2011). Even so, Lehigh Valley has won seven of its last 10 contests... The Chiefs -- Washington's top affiliate -- have won five of their last six games. After starting 10-20 upon last leaving Lehigh Valley on May 6, the Chiefs have gone 21-12 in their last 33 affairs.
LHP Tom Cochran (3-1, 4.04) will start for LHV against LHP John Lannan (5-5, 4.98) - a rematch of a Pigs' 8-6 on 4/13 at Coca-Cola Park.
First-Pitch is at 5 p.m.
Chief Concern: With a win tonight, SYR will get to .500 for the first time in 2012 (got to 23-24 on May 24; then lost four straight).
