May 8, 2012 - International League (IL1)
Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The IronPigs (17-13) play Game Two of a four-game series against the Indianapolis Indians (17-13) at Victory Field... With a 4-0 loss last night, the Pigs dropped the opening game of this eight-game, West Division road trip. Still, Lehigh Valley has won four of its last six contests... The Indians -- Pittsburgh's affiliate -- have now won three games in a row and are 10-3 in their last 13 affairs (after starting just 7-10)... Even so, the Pigs remain 11-6 all-time at Victory Field.
RHP Austin Hyatt (2-2, 3.09) will start for LHV against LHP Rudy Owens (1-0, 2.12).
HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS:
The Pigs are 12-3 at home... but just 5-10 on the road. As the home team, the Pigs are batting .247 and averaging 4.8 R/G (72/15). As the road team, the Pigs are batting just .227 and averaging 2.7 R/G (40/15).
