The IronPigs (17-12) embark on an eight-game West Division road trip with Game One of a four-game series against the Indianapolis Indians (16-13) at Victory Field... With an 11-2 win yesterday, the Pigs swept a two-game series from Syracuse and "finished" 6-6 during their 13-game span at Coca-Cola Park (the finale against Charlotte was suspended and won't be complete until May 24). Lehigh Valley has won four of its last five contests.. The Indians -- Pittsburgh's affiliate -- defeated Louisville, 4-2, yesterday to sweep a two-game, home series. The Indians are 9-3 in their last 12 affairs after starting just 7-10.

GREAT SCOTTS! ELARTON NAMED IL PITCHER OF THE WEEK:

Today, the IL announced RHP Scott Elarton as IL Pitcher of Week for 4/30-5/6. Elarton, 36, went 2-0, 0.75 ERA in 2 GS (12 ip, 7 h, r, er, 4 bb, 8 k) -- and currently has a LHV 2012-best 10.0 scoreless IP streak. The only run he allowed came on a Dan Johnson HR in a Pigs' 4-1 victory on May 1. The native of Lamar, Colo., then tossed 6.0 scoreless IP in an 11-2 win May 6. For the season, he is now 3-1, 2.84 ERA -- and he's allowed more than 1 R just once in 6 GS... Elarton becomes the second Pigs pitcher to win the award this year (Tyler Cloyd, April 9) and just the fifth all-time, joining Justin Lehr (2x; 2009), Nelson Figueroa (2010) and Brain Gordon (2011)...
