Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (44-62) play the finale of a four-game series against the first-place Durham Bulls (65-40) -- Tampa's top affiliate. With a 2-1 loss last night, the 'Pigs have dropped four straight games after winning six of seven; and have fallen to 2-5 on this eight-game, South Division homestand... Durham, which owns the best record in the International League, is now riding am eight-game winning streak -- which ties its season-high first accomplished April 16-23. Prior to the streak, the Bulls had gone just 2-6 in their previous eight affairs.
First-pitch is at 7:05 p.m. for Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Greenstar Recycling.... Following the game, the Pigs will travel to Buffalo to start a four-game series against the Bisons beginning Saturday at Coca-Cola Field.
Holy Bull!: The Bulls have won four straight over the Pigs -- by a total of 5 R! They've come-from-behind to win in the 8th inning or later in three of the wins and won in extras (yesterday) for the fourth!
