Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (33-51) return home after one contest at McCoy Stadium to play Game Two of a four-game series against the fourth-place Pawtucket Red Sox (38-45) -- Boston's top affiliate. With a 6-4 comeback win last night, the 'Pigs snapped a three-game losing streak. Still, Lehigh Valley is are just 3-10 in its last 13... Pawtucket snapped a two-game streak but remains 5-3 in its last eight affairs. Even so, the Sox have gone just 14-18 since June 1... In addition, the Sox have the worst road record in the IL (13-28, .324) -- a half-game behind the Pigs (14-28, .333).
RHP Drew Carpenter (6-6, 3.47) will start for LHV against LHP Felix Doubront (3-2, 2.36).
First-Pitch tonight is at 7:05 p.m. for a "July 5th" Fireworks Night, presented by Coors Light.
