IronPigs Begin Series at Pawtucket

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will open a three-game set with the Pawtucket Red Sox at McCoy Stadium on Friday night. First pitch of the series opener is slated for 7:05 p.m.

RHP Aaron Nola (3-0, 2.28) gets the ball for the Pigs on Friday. Nola got a no-decision on Saturday at Rochester after giving up three runs on nine hits while fanning six over six innings of work. Thus far in 4 GS with Lehigh Valley, the Baton Rouge, La. native has struck out 24 batters in 23.2 IP and has walked just five in that span.

LHP Henry Owens (2-7, 3.42) will be on the bump for Pawtucket in the series opener. Owens was tagged with the loss in his last start when he allowed four runs on four hits while walking two and fanning seven over 6.2 IP at Syracuse on Saturday. Back on April 10 vs. the IronPigs, the southpaw received a no-decision when he gave up one run on one hit to go along with four walks and four strikeouts in 6.1 IP at Coca-Cola Park that night.

IronPigs INF Chase d'Arnaud has now recorded four straight multi-hit games after going 2-6 on Wednesday night. In that time, d'Arnaud is hitting .550 (11-20)-1-3 with three doubles, a triple, two stolen bases and six runs scored in that span.
