Sacramento River Cats News Release
WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Iowa scored the go-ahead run on a Matt Camp sacrifice fly in the eighth inning as the Cubs topped the Sacramento River Cats 7-6 on Friday night at Raley Field. A sellout crowd (14,014), Raley Field's seventh sellout of the season, watched Sacramento drop 2.0 games behind first-place Fresno, which beat visiting Omaha. The River Cats were led by first baseman Dallas McPherson, who hit a two-run home run in the first inning, his 18th of the season. In the California Governor Bobblehead Election (determined by fan selection upon entrance into the stadium), Meg Whitman topped Jerry Brown as her bobblehead ran out first.
