Iowa Energy Acquire Former Iowa State Cyclone Diante Garrett

DES MOINES, IA, October 31, 2013 - The Iowa Energy announced they have acquired former Iowa State Cyclone guard Diante Garrett in a three team trade. The Energy will also be receiving the third and eleventh overall picks in tomorrow's NBA D-League Draft, in exchange for the first and sixth overall picks, and Lorenzo Brown.

The Iowa Energy receive the third overall pick in the 2013 draft from Springfield. The team also receives the eleventh overall pick in the 2013 draft and Diante Garrett from Tulsa. The Energy send Lorenzo Brown, an affiliate player from the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the sixth overall pick in the 2013 draft to Springfield and send the first overall pick in the 2013 draft to Tulsa. Springfield also receives Ben Uzoh from Tulsa.

The Energy have ten picks in tomorrow's NBA D-League draft, including the third and eleventh overall picks. The team will host a draft party at El Bait Shop starting at 5:30.

Iowa Energy season tickets are now on sale for the 2013-14 season. The Energy will host the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in its opening day game on Sunday, December 8 at 4 PM. The newest NBA D-League team, the Delaware 87ers, will be the opponent for the opening night game on Saturday, December 14 at 7PM.
