Iowa Cubs News Release
BUFFALO, NY - The Iowa Cubs (15-12) suffered a 2-0 defeat against the Buffalo Bisons (16-10) on Sunday afternoon as the game was called in the bottom of the fifth inning due to rain.
The I-Cubs and Bisons went scoreless through the first three frames of the contest as they battled rainy conditions. But Buffalo was able to plate a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Steward Berroa knocked in the first run for the Bisons on a single to right field. After a pitching change, Spencer Horwitz grounded into a double play but was able to bring home a run.
As the rain continued to come down, the game was officially called with one out in the bottom of the fifth and a 1-0 count on Rafael Lantigua .
