
Iowa Assigns Goalie Curry to Orlando

Des Moines, IA - Iowa Wild General Manager Jim Mill on Sunday announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has assigned goaltender John Curry to the Orlando Solar Bears, Iowa's ECHL affiliate.
Curry played in the last two games for Iowa, winning both with 76 saves on 80 shots on goal (.950 SV%). For the season, Curry is 2-1-0 for the Wild, posting a 1.96 GAA and a .939 SV%. He returns to Orlando, where the 29-year old was 9-2-0 over 12 appearances, while posting a 2.63 GAA and a .918 SV% with the Solar Bears. Over the course of his career, the seventh-year pro has made 181 appearances in the AHL for Wilkes-Barre Scranton, Houston and Iowa. Curry is 105-60-7 with a 2.55 GAA and a .906 SV% in his AHL career. He has also made an appearance in four NHL games (all Pittsburgh), going 2-2-0 with a 3.79 GAA and a .867 DV %.
Iowa concludes a six-game homestand with Milwaukee on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 4:05 p.m. Fans may purchase the Subway Family Four Pack, which features four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas, and four Subway coupons starting at $44. The team will play six straight on the road prior to returning home on Jan. 15 to host Toronto at 7:05 p.m.
