Iowa Cubs News Release

DES MOINES, IA - The Iowa Cubs and Colorado Springs Sky Sox were suspended due to wet grounds after four frames with the Sky Sox holding a 1-0 edge, Tuesday at Principal Park. The game will be completed as part of a doubleheader beginning tomorrow at 5:08 p.m. Wednesday's regularly scheduled contest will begin following the completion of Game 1 and will be played through 7.0 innings.

Iowa and Colorado Springs couldn't generate any runs during the early frames. Starting pitchers Jen-Ho Tseng and Brandon Woodruff shut down the offenses, as both teams were held scoreless through the first three innings.

Tseng carried a no-hitter into the fourth inning until Eric Sogard broke it with a single to right. Singles from Christian Bethancourt and Domingo Santana plated Sogard to give the Sky Sox a 1-0 lead.

Rain put a stop to the game, forcing the suspension after four frames. Tomorrow's twin bill will feature a Party with Princesses for Kids Night. Kids get in free with the purchase of an adult general admission ticket. For more information or tickets, visit www.iowacubs.com.
