SALT LAKE CITY - Alberto Triunfel delivered a walk-off RBI single to give the Bees a 4-3 win over the El Paso Chihuahuas on Monday night in front of 10,208 fans at Smith's Ballpark.

Trailing by one entering the ninth inning Joe Hudson drew a leadoff walk and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by Sherman Johnson. Hudson would tie the game as Jose Rojas singled up the middle and moved to second on the throw. Triunfel then pulled a full count offering down the left field line to score the winning run.

Ivan Pineyro had the longest outing by a Bees starter this season. In a quality start, he went for seven complete innings, giving up just one run on three hits while striking out seven. Jeremy Rhoades picked up his fourth win of the season with one and one-third scoreless. Rhoades has not allowed a run since the All-Star break, a streak of 16.2 scoreless innings. With the win the Bees moved within 2.5 games of first place El Paso for the Pacific Southern Division lead.

Retired Major League All-Star Bernie Williams was on hand to spread awareness for IPF (idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis), a disease that took his father's life. Williams also played a rousing rendition on his electric guitar prior to the game and made an appearance on the game broadcast with Steve Klauke.

The Bees and the Chihuahuas will continue their three-game set Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. at Smith's Ballpark. Tickets are available at slbees.com.
