Good Housekeeping: Last night the Aces and Fresno Grizzlies both tossed shutouts. It's only the 22nd time multiple teams have shutout thier opponent on the same day in the Pacific Coast League. There have been four dates this season three teams shutout their foes: April 5th (Opening Day), April 10, April 19, and May 26. last night was the first time Reno was not the only team to accomplish that feat. Reno had four shutouts last season. They were one of two teams on each date to pitch a shutout on those days.

Dad, it's Shark Week: Giants outfielder Gregor Blanco returned to Greater Nevada Field Last night. Blanco appeared in one game with Reno last season (2-for-5, 5/4/17) and 90 games with the Arizona Diamondbacks. This season, he's split time between the Giants and Sacramento (42 games - 49 games). The two-time World Series Champion is in his 17th season in professional baseball.

Watching Cops: On this date in 2007, Jose Offerman was suspended indefinitely by the Independent Atlantic League for the assault that occurred during a Bluefish and Long Island Ducks game. Offerman was arrested for hitting two players with a bat. The incident resulted after the former All-Star was hit by a pitch following a home run in his first at-bat. Bridgeport catcher John Nathans sustained a concussion and starter Matt Beech suffered a broken finger.

I Remember My First Beer: As part of a year-long promotion with Coors Light, Lotus Radio, and Reno News & Review, the Aces will have their final Coors Light Thirsty Thursday on August 16th. Come quench your thirst and enjoy $2 Coors Light until the middle of the 5th inning. The Aces will also be hosting their second annual Pride Night on the 16th in conjunction with Our Center.
