
Intimidators Home Stand Preview: Intimidators Home Opener on Thursday

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (April 14, 2015) - The Kannapolis Intimidators begin the home portion of the 21st season of baseball in Kannapolis on Thursday, April 16, at CMC-NorthEast Stadium with a game against the Hickory Crawdads at 7:05 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. for the first game of a 4-game series. The Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, begin a 7-game home stand with four games against the Crawdads (Texas Rangers) followed by three games against the West Virginia Power (Pittsburgh Pirates).
Thursday, April 16 at 7:05 p.m. | Gates open 6 p.m.
Thursday's home opener is the season's first Thirsty Thursday, featuring discounted drinks all game long and post-game Launch-A-Ball presented by Dick's Sporting Goods. This season, the Intimidators are keeping Thirsty Thursday prices the same, with 16 oz. draft beers only $1.50, 32 oz. draft beers only $3.00, and bottles of soda and water only $2.00 throughout the game. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free 2015 Intimidators magnet schedule courtesy of Pizza Hut.
Friday, April 17 at 7:05 p.m. | Gates open 6 p.m.
The first 1,000 fans into CMC-NorthEast Stadium on Friday will receive a 2015 Intimidators magnet schedule courtesy of Pizza Hut. The Intimidators are also serving up our Friday Night Special with a select 16 oz. draft beer only $2.00 throughout the game.
Saturday, April 18 at 7:05 p.m. | Gates open 6 p.m.
The season's first fireworks show, presented by CMC-NorthEast, takes place after Saturday's game. Students from Kannapolis City Schools that have been recognized by their teachers and media specialists as 2015 Reading All-Stars will be recognized before the game with a special pre-game parade around the field. Sunday, April 19 at 5:05 p.m. | Gates open 4 p.m.
It's Kids Day Sunday, presented by Cornerstone Church, with pre-game player autographs, post-game kids run the bases, and all kids tickets are only $5.00. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free 2015 Intimidators magnet schedule courtesy of Pizza Hut.
Monday, April 20 at 7:05 p.m. | Gates open 6 p.m.
The season's first Belly Buster Monday, presented this season by Buffalo Wild Wings at Exit 54 (Afton Ridge Shopping Center), offers fans an opportunity to enjoy all-you-can-eat concessions for only $10.00 throughout the game - including chicken tenders, hot dogs, burgers, fries, popcorn, funnel cake, and so much more. Belly Buster Monday does not include drinks, candy, and third party vendors. Mondays are once again Kannapolis Citizens Appreciation Night, presented by the City of Kannapolis, with free admission to all Kannapolis residents. Just bring your drivers license, water bill, etc., and you will receive admission for up to eight people each and every Monday.
Tuesday, April 21 at 7:05 p.m. | Gates open 6 p.m.
Two-for-Tuesdays are back in 2015, once again presented by Arby's. Fans that show any Arby's proof of purchase at the box office will receive 2-for-1 tickets at all Tuesday home games. The Intimidators will also offer various 2-for-1 deals throughout the ballpark at concessions stands and in the Intimidation Station souvenir store. Tuesdays are Senior Night with free admission to all Senior Club members (ages 55 and older). All game long, we will be playing BINGO between innings with an opportunity for fans to win Intimidators prize packs and tickets to future games.
Wednesday, April 20 at 10:05 a.m. | Gates open 9 a.m.
Students from area schools are invited to the ballpark for our annual Education Day presented by CMC-NorthEast. The Intimidators will be celebrating mascot Tim E. Gator's birthday, and many of his mascot friends will be in attendance to help celebrate.
