Intimidators Hold Off Tourists 4-3 Behind Lowe's Great Performance

Asheville, NC - The Intimidators (25-24) received eight strong innings from Johnnie Lowe en route a 4-3 win over the Asheville Tourists (29-23) at McCormick Field.

Lowe (5-6) earned the win throwing eight innings giving up nine hits and three runs while walking none and striking out eight. Lowe went out to start the 8th frame but after back to back singles was lifted for relief pitcher Tyson Corley.

Corley picked up one out before handing it off to Eric Stephenson for his first save of the season. Stephenson struck out Bo Bowman with the tying run at third base to end the game.

Offensively, Jorge Castillo drove in a run on a double in the 1st inning. Mark Fleisher followed that with a two-run single in the same inning.

Castillo went 2-for-4 with a double and RBI. He was the only Intimidator with a multi-hit day.

The Intimidators continue the eight-game roadtrip tomorrow night with the series finale in Asheville. Kannapolis finishes the roadie with four games in Hickory starting Friday night.
