
Intimidators Fall to Legends in Series Opener

Lexington, KYâ The Intimidators (24-27) ran into a tough starting pitcher scoring just two runs falling to the Legends 7-2 Wednesday night at Applebee's Park in Lexington, KY.
The home team took the lead early in the first inning. Josh Anderson led off with a single, stole second and scored on Edwin Maysonet's RBI single to left field.
Ervin Alcantara hit a solo shot off Ryan Rodriguez in the second and Kevin Davidson drove in Brock Koman with a single giving the Legends a 3-0 lead after two innings.
Micah Schnurstein broke up the shutout with his first home run of the season, a solo shot over the left field wall. For Kentucky Wildcat outfielder Seth Morris drove in Davd Cook with a ground out to short pulling the Intimidators within a run, 3-2.
The Legends (28-22) went ahead with a 3-run fifth inning. Ozzie Fernando led off with a double, took third on a fielder's choice bunt. Maysinet drove in Fernandez with a single and drove Rodriguez from the game. Scott Robinson's sacrifice fly scored Josh Anderson. The final run of the inning scored on a bases loaded walk to Brock Koman. All six runs were charged to Rodriguez who took the loss tossing four innings.
In the seventh inning, the Legends added a run off reliever John Hurd giving Lexington their final run, 7-2.
Derek Grigsby struck out a career high nine batters over six innings for his third win of the season. He gave up both Intimidators runs.
