Inter Miami CF to Face Miami FC in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday

Inter Miami CF heads into an action-packed week as it will play both U.S. Open Cup and MLS regular season games. The team will first visit Miami FC for a Third Round Matchup in the 108th edition of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup this Wednesday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. ET at FIU Football Stadium.

The match will be broadcast locally on TV33 and steamed live on CBS SPORTS GOLAZO NETWORK.

Second U.S. Open Cup Participation

Wednesday's clash against local opponents, USL Championship side Miami FC, will mark the beginning of Inter Miami's second participation in a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and the second official matchup between the sides. In last year's U.S. Open Cup, Inter Miami made it to the Round of 16.

Rematch Against Miami FC

Inter Miami will play Miami FC for the second time in U.S. Open Cup action. In 2022 the sides also faced off at FIU Football Stadium in the Third Round of the cup, with Inter Miami coming out on top with a 0-1 victory on the road thanks to an Leonardo Campana goal.

Open Cup Champions on the Roster

Inter Miami currently has two former Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup winners on its roster in DeAndre Yedlin, who won it in 2014 with Seattle Sounders FC, and Victor Ulloa, who helped FC Dallas clinch the title in 2016.

Integrating New Faces

Inter Miami's two newest additions - Dixon Arroyo and Kamal Miller - made their team debuts over the weekend, featuring in the starting XI against Houston Dynamo FC.

Arroyo played 81 minutes, completing 88% of his passes, including two key passes. Miller, meanwhile, played the full 90 minutes, completing 84% of his passes, and also chipped in with two key passes of his own.

Scouting Miami FC

Miami FC competes in the USL Championship and is led by head coach Anthony Pulis, a former Inter Miami assistant coach. So far this season, the team has registered one win, two losses, and four draws in USL Championship action.

The team's leading goal scorer this season is defender Paco Craig, with two goals to his name.

What's Next?

If Inter Miami wins its Third Round matchup, the team will advance to the Round of 32 which will be played on May 23 and 24, and face an opponent that will be determined in a draw on April 27.
