New York City Football Club (NYCFC) today announced that it has traded Defender Malte Amundsen to the Columbus Crew in exchange for up to $500K in General Allocation Money (GAM).
The Club will receive a guaranteed $400,000, with $200,000 in 2023 GAM and $200,000 in 2024 GAM, with up to an additional $100,000 if certain performance-based incentives are met. The deal was agreed to before the Primary Transfer Window closed on Monday, April 24, 2023.

I take with me a lot of great memories both on-and-off the pitch, winning MLS Cup alongside my teammates is something I will never forget. I look forward to the new challenge ahead and I wish everyone at NYCFC the best of luck the rest of the season."
