Chris Ingoglia's gem was not enough as the Freedom fell 2-0 to Traverse City on Independence Day. The loss snapped the Freedom's three-game win streak.

Traverse City's JT Hall broke a scoreless tie with a two-run homer to center in the seventh inning off Ingoglia. It was the All-Star's 12th homer of the season and second straight game with a home run.

Ingoglia (4-3) threw 7 2/3 brilliant innings, allowing a two runs on seven hits. He had no walks and three strikeouts.

The Freedom threatened in the eighth, as Junior Arrojo and Cole Miles started the inning with back-to-back singles against Beach Bums starter Bryan Banes. Banes was relieved by Scott Dunn, who got Juan Valdes to bounce into a fielder's choice in which Arrojo was thrown out at third for the first out. Chris Curley then hit a liner to second that was caught by Hector Bernal who threw to second to double off Miles and end the jam.

Banes (6-0) pitched seven-plus innings and held the Freedom scoreless on five hits. He walked none and struck out three.

Closer Scott Mueller, also named an All-Star earlier in the day, pitched a perfect ninth inning for his tenth save of the season.

Freedom outfielder Cole Miles, infielder Chris Curley and catcher Justin Holloway were also named Frontier League All-Stars on Monday. The six-game road trip continues on Tuesday night at 8:05 against Rockford. Tim Holmes (2-4, 3.17) will be on the mound for Florence.
