Fort Worth Brahmas News Release

Fort Worth – The Fort Worth Brahmas, struggling this season with a CHL worst 2-15-3 record, fired head coach Bill Inglis early this afternoon.

The club will name the successor to Inglis tomorrow afternoon.

Barack said that the removal of Inglis was a direct result of the team's poor start to this season.

"Make no mistake about it, the number one objective for our organization is to win hockey games. And, quite frankly, we haven't been winning hockey games. This decision is based solely on our lack of success this season. We want to win, and we want to win now. And we are going to take whatever steps necessary to put a winning team on the ice," he stated.

Barack went on to reiterate the Brahmas commitment to fielding a winning hockey team.

"Our goal, as it is every season, is to have a winning team, make the playoffs, and compete for the league championship. Right now, we're not winning, and that's why this move was made. Hopefully a coaching change can help us get things turned around," he said.

Inglis, who was in his first full season with the Brahmas after being named head coach on December 29, 2002, leaves the club with a record of 11-40-7 in 58 games coached.

The Brahmas, with their new head coach in place, will next be in action this Friday night, Dec. 5, when the team hosts the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees at 7:30 p.m. at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
