TELEVISA TO CARRY AN ADDITIONAL FIVE KILLER BEES GAMES
HIDALGO, TX: December 2, 2003 â The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League, which broadcasted their 2-0 shutout win over the Austin Ice Bats last Friday night live on Televisa, are excited to announce five additional games through the season will be carried live throughout the Rio Grande Valley and regions of Mexico.
Televisa is the largest producer of Spanish language programming in the world and the largest Mexican television network in Mexico. Through a contract with Cox Communications, Televisa operates stations along the Texas-Mexico border in the Rio Grande Valley and Laredo markets. Televisa Noreste (XHAB) Channel 7 in the Rio Grande Valley produces the games, with Chris Due providing the play-by-play, Len Buckborough providing color analysis and locker room reports from Jeffrey Saocedo. XHAB was the first station in the Valley to carry a television signal and it is the only Mexico based station to carry professional hockey in North America.
Tentative broadcast dates include December 12 (vs Laredo), December 20 (vs Laredo), January 9 (vs Laredo), February 8 (vs Corpus Christi) and February 27 (vs Corpus Christi). Broadcasts will be conducted in English and will include a 10 minute pregame and a brief postgame show. Radio broadcasts of the games will continue to be aired during televised games on XERT VOZ 1170 AM, which are also carried online at www.killerbeehockey.com via MyRGV.Com.

The Bees return to action Friday night in Fort Worth and make a stop in Corpus Christi Saturday before returning home to the Dodge Arena for their next home game Sunday at 6 PM against the CHL expansion Colorado Eagles.
